The Basic School of Arts Na Popelce is a regular school institution operating under the authority of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Prague City Hall.

 

The school educates pupils and students from the pre-school age up to adult, in their leisure time, after their regular school or university education. Lessons are focused not only on arts, but also on social competencies of the pupils.

 

Over 700 pupils and students are studying in the afternoons the arts in our school. The Art school is organising several events, which contribute to the cultural life in the area. For example Theatre Minifestival, held now every summer for 20 years, performances of the students and children not only for usual audience, but also for seniors and school kids.
