The Communication Bridges project was developed by cooperation of six organizations from Slovenia, China, Mexico and England - cities Ljubljana, Chengdu, Valenciana and Birmingham.

 

The Taka Tuka Creative Society and Association of the Teachers of the Deaf from Slovenia and Chengdu University and Chengdu School of Special Education from China are organizations that focus on education and quality life of youth, especially the deaf. Estudio Busqueda de Pantomima Teatro from Mexico is a centre of contemporary pantomime, clownery and movement theatre as well as an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of popular theatre arts. Accident Time, based in UK, specialized in work with children, young people and adult learners in the field of theatre in education and drama in education.

 

The project activities that encouraged the young to actively participate in the one year project. It is not a coincidence that theatre and drama were the red lines connecting the deaf and normal hearing world as well as different cultures in the project. The stage and group activities stimulated young people to active thinking about a certain subject. Theatre language enables them to share knowledge, perspectives and ideas, widens their horizons and develops their abilities.
